In molti contesti urbani il pubblico vine percepito come “spazio di nessuno” e “non-luogo” più che come “bene comune”. Il gruppo dei Manutentori, creato dentro l’accademia ABADIR di Catania, è un gruppo autogestito di progettisti che cercano di migliorare il contesto urbano attraverso piccole opere capaci di trasformare lo spazio. Le loro 10 opere dimostrano come la progettazione degli spazi comuni può essere realizzata dal basso senza spese gravose e complesse pianificazioni.
In many urban areas the public space is perceived as "nobody's space" and "nonplace" than as a "common good." The Maintainers group created inside the ABADIR academy of Catania, is a self-managed group of designers who are trying to improve the urban environment through small works that transform the space. Their 10 works show how the design of the common spaces can be built from scratch without heavy costs or complex schedules.
